Imperial Influencers
In 2017, Xcellence Magazine featured the Rudanovsky family in an article titled “Imperial Influencers,” tracing the family’s history, its connections with Russian and European cultural life, and its long association with art and collecting.
The feature looks back at several generations of the family and presents the Rudanovsky legacy through the history of collecting, cultural exchange and works associated with the family collection.
Among the subjects discussed in the original feature are Konstantin Rudanovsky and his activities in Paris during the reign of Emperor Nicholas I, the family’s connections with European art circles, and works of art connected with the Rudanovsky collection.
The article also illustrates several works and historical subjects associated with the family, including paintings attributed in the feature to Charles-Antoine Coypel, Andrea del Verrocchio and Madonna and Child from the Rudanovsky Hermitage collection.
The original digital edition of Xcellence Magazine is no longer available at its former web address. The surviving magazine spread is reproduced here as part of the Rudanovsky historical record.
